The surroundings of Valcrosa

When you leave the door at B&B Valcrosa, you’ll find a number of beautiful hikingroutes. Imagine this; a backpack, filled with refreshments, and go walking for hours without meeting a single person.
This can also be done on a mountainbike, just as beautiful!

Nearby Valcrosa there are a number of small villages where you can tast the real Piedmontese cuisine in the local restaurants.
A simple, honest and pure kitchen.

Spending a day in the swimming pool or splashing in the d’Erro river is all possible within a range of 6 miles from Valcrosa.

The city of Acqui Terme, 15 minutes drive, is known for its hot springs, there are a number of spas and in the center you will find the “Bollente”.
It is a small town with many restaurants, nice shops and beautiful historic buildings. Twice a week there is a market and it is nice to finish with an “aperitivo”.

To see more of what the Piedmont has to offer, it is highly recommended to do this by bike (e-bike) or Vespa.
You can make a tour from forest to wine area, while enjoying a delicious lunch or wine tasting. I can arrange this for you or have a look at: www.ebike-acquiterme.com

Large cities that are very worthwhile visiting and are an hour tot 1,5 hour drive from Valcrosa are:

  • Genova
  • Torino
  • Milano
  • Alba
  • Asti

Within a short hour drive you can visit the coast. Don’t forget to make a stop in the beautiful town of Sassello. Then descend to the coast with beautiful small villages such as Noli.

For the wine lover, there is much to enjoy in the Piedmont.
Visit the local wine grower and be surprised by the selection of fine wines. Go and taste, enjoy the small snacks and feel the pride of the vintner.

One of our favorites and the wines that are available in the B & B: Poggio www.vinipoggio.it

In B&B Valcrosa you’ll find more information about all these possibilities. I’ll be happy to help you find the most beautiful places in the neighborhood.
